Order Picker

If you are interested in enrolling into an order picker training course, then this will provide you will all the information you need to know about obtaining a licence.

The main objective of this course is to provide you with the skills required to operate an order picker safely and competently. Demonstration is also necessary to obtain a licence.

To qualify for order picker training, you must be at least 18 years of age. Also, it is advisable you have basic English and that you are not scared of heights. The reason why is because with order pickers, they are used in warehouses to pick up orders or store pellets at an elevated level.

So in order to obtain a licence, you will be required to complete a practical and written test.

The course also consists of a number of topics. These include;

-       How to operate an Order Picker

-       What pre and post operation checks to make

-       How to use the safety harness and PPE

-       Theory and practical test

When you pass both theory and practical test, you will be granted an interim order picker licence. During this period, you will be required to submit your documents and assessment to an Australian Post. Once your documents are have been processed, you will be sent a 5 year order picker licence.
